Astra 1.9 Sri 150 driveshaft removal

Hi. I've got to change the nearside drive shaft on my car. Is there anything I need to know.
Will I need to refill gearbox with oil
Are there any special tools needed
    Thanks in advance.

I used to change the shafts on my Astra G without touching the oil.

You need to jack the nearside up high so the oil doesn't come out when the shaft is removed. I'd recommend a proper trolley jack & use an axle stand just in case.

    No special tools are needed.

So I'm best getting some oil just incase I loose a bit then? Got proper jacks and axles stands so I'm ok on that side.

I'd be inclined to see if I loose any first before buying any.

When was your gearbox oil last changed. Because the oil is crap in the m32 boxs and might be worth changing whilst your there

If its not been changed before I would change it anyway. I change it as part of a yearly service now.
