    2.0 DTi EGR Valve

Could someone please tell me whether the EGR valve on the 2.0 DTi is plastic or metal? Thanks.

here's a plastic one on eBay up to a certain chasis number http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-OPEL-VAUXH...item2c5b6fc7b3

vauxcenter says the same thing Astra G 1998-2004 & Zafira A 1998-2005 with X20DTL engine code with Emission Code NT5 OR with Y20DTL engine code OR with Y20DTH engine code up to Chassis Number 22999999 or 25999999 or 28999999 or 2H999999

and this appeas to be the metal one (its for 2.0 diesel, however Richjam says the X20DTL isn't called a DTi) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-EGR-V...item2c5936ad2c

    Astra MK4 & Zafira 1998-2004; Engine Code: X20DTL, Emission Codes NC8

Do you happen to know what NT5 becomes when used with Tech2? I think I got P0400 - MAF or EGR valve. But my valve is dead so must be that.

Is there any real difference between the plastic and metal?

Thanks for the links. Was thinking of getting second hand for half the price though as I'm broke.

My understanding of the engine codes is DTL (Diesel Turbo Low pressure) ie 2.0 Di and DTH (Diesel Turbo High pressure) ie 2.0 Dti. On mine which is a 2.0Di (1999) it is a metal EGR valve think they changed to plastic later on before changing to an electronic controlled unit around 2003.
