    wipers acting up =\

i have an X reg sxi 1.6 16v, for some reason (only occationaly) my wipers keep going weird, sometimes they dont turn off, il put em one the intermittent setting but its a constat wipe, and like i said wont turn off, any ideas what this could be? dunno if this is connected but sometimes my indecators dont turn off after ive turned??

on a differant note, any ideas what colour code my car is, from one side it looks like a dark-ish blue, but in other light it has a hint of purple =)

    could be a faulty motor?
paint code will be on the black plate next to the drivers door
usually paint code first then trim code

Sounds like a faulty relay switch, I've noticed a lot of G models with he same problem, if the wipers are doing a full sweep then the motor sounds fine. Indicators sound like relay fault also but could be wear on the indicator stalk itself( or dirty connection)

i was thinking it could be the swutches too as the motor sounds fine and works, its only happend 2 or 3 times since i got the car in november so i cant see it been the motor myself =) is it a costly thing to have the switches repaired?

could be the park sensor in the wiper motor. when the little copper connections wear the wipers do some random things. Last year mine broke and the wipers would stop at random halfway up the window and not turn off when I turned them off. New from vaux the motor was about £120. I decided not to pay that and got one from a scrappy for £20. It wasnt too dificult to change either tbh
It would definitely go better with an engine in it

it sounds like the relay to me, if the motor was dodgey the wipers wouldn't park properly
