I've just finished fitting a new engine to my car, and got it to fire up... but it cuts out almost straight away. I've sourced the problem to the MAF, because as soon as I unplug that it sits idling no problem (except the EML is on).
Apart from the obvious suggestion of a dodgy MAF, is there anything else that may be causing this? I never had this problem when the same MAF was connected to my old engine, although the plug that connects to the MAF came attached to the new engine. Is is possible that there's a wire here thats faulty?
