    exhaust race tube

    looking at gettin one of those ones of ebay either the sportex or the hoffman one but are they worth the money or a complete waste of time

    also if some 1 has got one what sorta differnce do they make

    Makes the exhaust sound more sporty. Not much power gain, if any on a small engine.

    sorry to hijack the thread, but my convertable is lowered and when i reverse off the gfs drive it catches on part of the exhaust, would a race tube stop this?

    Just bought a hoffman race tube and having it fitted next saturday along with a sports cat front pipe. Ive been told that when you accelearte hard it pops and bangs.

    Cant wait to anoy people with this .hehe

    nah i woudlnt say you will get pops and bangs from a race tube, it will just rasp alot when cold. onlyk way your going to get pops and bangs is by decat

    I am putting a de-cat front pipe, into a sports 200 cell cat into a straight race tube.
    This should do the trick right?

    so are they worth the price then or is it just a chavy and to loud as im not after loud loud just want a nice tone

    My old 2007 Astra 1.8 had a sportex race tube on it, and changing down the gears it would pop.....it still had the cat on it to

    Luke I had one on my old Astra with a magnex twin exit back box,even though it was only a 1.6 it sounded awesome, also had one on both my vectras I liked the sound that much. I'd defo get one if I hadn't had this Astra miltek centre pipe to mod to fit my zaf
