    Halfords ratchet question!!

Tonight i was helping a mate fit coilovers and stupidly i used my ratchet to break a nut off and it didnt work it just smashed the bearings inside the ratchet,

I know that halfords have a life time guarantee on their tools its the professional model so can i just take it and get it exchanged like for like or are they anal and want to have proof of purchase??

if its branded halfords they should replace but with some companies who knows, just tell them you will be in touch with trading standards if they play funny buggers, would have thought they be ok though

you need the receipt even though it has halfords printed all over it also the warranty doesn't cover moving parts.....

if you came into the store i work and where nice enough i would swap it over even though we dont really need to. If you start going on about getting trading standards etc you wouldn't get anywhere.

so just keep that in mind and as already said the repair kit is only £4.99 anyway Hope you get it replaced
Just because it smokes like a taxi doesnt mean it goes like one
