    Putting Tv on wall?

    Hello just brought myself a new 40" samsung lcd going to mount it on the wall what would be the right height

    Say from carpet to the bottom of the tele?

    depends on whether the wall mount tilts, if so id say bout 4ft to the bottom mate.

    Sit in your chair that you will be watching the TV in and put it so the middle of the TV is at eye level (Which is normaly about 800-1000cm).

    Last thing you want is to be looking up at a TV.

    Ask any AV buff or google 'Best height to mount a TV'
    The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...

    own prefference at the end of the day, depends on if u got a low setee.

    never knew there was a "specific" height, i just sat on the couch while friend held it too the wall and found where was best height got mine floor to bottom of tv is around 5 and half foot then tv is on a tilt down slightly, and thats on a 50"

    i have fitted a fair few tv's to the wall for a few different people and all have been more than 4 ft.

    Its all down to how the view wants it and if its above a fire place, as if its a above the fire you have to allow a certain distance due to the heat from the fire etc.
