    vectra sri 130 would be a 2ltr i think

the astra only has 123 bhp and is coupled to a short box so acceleration shouldnt be bad

dont snap my hand off for offering advice

the only reason i can think is that the vectra although has the same engine and power

it has a different gearbox with longer gears

prehaps service the astra and see how that goes

    Welcome to AOC mate

If I remember rightly the SRI130 is a Bigblock 1.8 X18XE with 126 ft lb and the Astra SRI is 123bhp and slightly less Torque than the Vectra. But in all honesty, the weight in the vectra would mean less bhp per tonne than the astra. So it should be a bit quicker. But there wouldn't be much in it though.

When was the last time the Astra had a good service?
