    air box

    what does deristricting the airbox do??
    vauxhall astra, 1.6 twinport 2006, 3 door, design, tinted windows, heko wind deflectors, 600k hid's, blue led conversion

    it does nothing, dont bother, specialy the top pipe as it makes ur car run seriously groggy

    I have to disagree, My 1.7 TDi has improved imensely in acceleration, no 1.5k-2.5k rev flat spot anymore, only side affect ive noticed so far tiny bit noiser in the morning and sucks abit more

    I have not done this mod but i would have to say it would be pointless, if de-restricting the airbox was gonna give better airflow i think the tech guys at vauxhall would know this and designed the airbox different, its been done that way for a reason so leave it alone, or buy a selad induction kit which may actually give better airflow

    i disagree, new panel filter, veccy air intake pipe, your on your way. better than a cone induction, no heatsoak

    I done it to my coupe Turbo, Vectra C pipe, PiperX panel filter, and de restricted the box

    The Turbo spools up better I reckon and whistles like a good one too

    i know how to change the panel filter, i know how to change the air intake pipe, but how ja go about 'derestricting' the airbox?
