Question Mk 5 Steering wheel conversion

I have a astra mk4 with the mk5 steering wheel.... The person who put it on has not botherd to sort the airbag light being on etc.

My question is has anyone done the connections or wireing to fit one of these as i would like my airbag light off!

As of next year it will be illegal on a MOT to have a airbag light on

    Cheers

There's no way to get the airbag working, only option is to put a fuse accross the airbag wires on the car and get the light reset

you cant just bridge the terminals as the resistance will be wrong, you have to get a resistor that is about 2.6 ohms to loose the light mate, get yourself to maplins to get one

a cheaper option is to remove the bulb, the new mot rules do not check the operation of the airbag light, just the fact the light is on
