i also have that code mate, i get car and spanner light when car is cold, im putting it into vauxhall when i get paid to get plugs done, you can do a test on the plugs to find which one is causing the fault code ask the garage to do this test and if its that plug it will be open circuit and they will have to try and get it out !

No big deal, but its best to make sure of your codes and I reckon you folks must mean fault code P0380. That comes up all the time and is glow system related.

P0830 appears to relate to things like clutch pedal switch A circuit.

Hi Paul it is p0380 my miss typing sorry. The garage said it would be a big job because they would have to take the head off to get it. It starts fine it's just a but annoying havin the light keep coming on. Plus if I come to sell it and have to explain will bring the value down aswell.

No point just changing 3 out of the 4 glowplugs..

Mine broke in the head when it was being changed. Had to have the head taken off and the broken one was removed and it was helicoiled .

I was suppose to have them all changed but the garage didn't want to take the risk with that one plug. They changed the others no problem they said. Did it cost much to have it done?

Hi Guys I was changing my glow plugs on 1.7 dti and one snapped, It is possible to fix it without removing cylinder head. You can buy on E bay set for removing broken glow plugs for around 60 pounds. on you tube is video how to use it. Took me about hour to remove broken plug out. good luck
