    window motor

    window is stuck down on rear pass side ,can i get it up again while finding replacement motor?

    If the motors dead it's going to be very dificult to get it up. Maybe you have broken wires there too which could also be your locking problem

    theres power going to lock and switch not sure how to test window motor wires ,theres a red a brown and some skinny ones to plug ,tried putting earth and power to motor from battery but nothing!

    You need a battery live on the fat red, earth on the fat brown and then a second live on the thinner wires individually

    Did that and it worked so its not the motor,must be the wiring.my next question is how does the door loom join the main loom can i just replace it or has it got to be cut and soldered.

    If it's anything like other vauxhall models the connector will be behind the rubber boot in the door. If the wires are broken yo need to run new lengths through the grommet and solder them onto the old wires in the door and body so you have no hard joints where the wire bends

    Got it done by carelectrics today...6 broken wires in door loom,central locking motor was donald ducked so put another one on ..sorted!
