what brake discs grooved and drilled

looking at changing my 308 front and 256 rear brake discs, i like the look of drilled and grooved discs but what should i go for, are the cheaper sets any good, i have no big engine so what price and quality should i be looking at? I need a set that will at least work as well as the standard vauxhall ones i have at the moment.

You have 308s at the moment mate?

I was told there is no point in say me going for 308s on a 1.4, so I assume 308s for you are a bit too much too.

Checkout MTEC if you want something well priced and perhaps grooved/coated - I would imagine they are cheaper than Trade Club too but not 100%. Drop them an e-mail telling them what you want and they may do a better price than advertised online.

They would re-drill a pair of 308mm 5-stud discs to 4-stud for £99 delivered, so I'd assume leaving them as 5-stud would knock £10-£15 off the price.

mtec on ebay are way way cheaper than oe trade club discs.
i have drilled and grooved on mine ans are ok, not noisy at all.
but i guess if you rag the arse off the car everywhere you go then they wont last long as they have a tendancy to crack (so i have been told)
