Fitting rear spoiler to astra g

I have got a used Irmscher rear spoiler to fit to my hatchback. The original threads are there for bolts to screw into. My question is what length bolts should I use and should I use hex head or Allen key type etc.. what is commonly used or what have you used?
Any particular way of fitting or measurements or just line it all up and go for it.
    Thanks.

Half inch bolts? Cool, I didn't want to get any too long or short, that was my main concern, is it double skinned where I have to drill through? (I have not looked yet as it's p*ssing down here)

OK thanks, as long as the heads don't foul I don't mind what heads really, the depth is what mattered.
    Thanks for the tips.

I found this later so it helps also: http://www.irmscher.de/abe/de/de/7_20_01_401.pdf

I've always found irmy spoilers to be held on with 15-20mm long allen headed bolts.
