Talking Finally taken the plunge and ordered a machine polisher!

Finally, I have done it, just placed an ordered with i4detailing for a Kestrel DAS-6 machine polisher.

Order came to just under £170 inc VAT and postage, which includes:

    Kestrel DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher
Kestrel 5" DA Professional Backing Plate
    Sonus SFX-1 Restore Polish
    Sonus SFX-2 Enhance Polish
    Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish Polish
Sonus SFX-1 Restore 6" Yellow Foam Pad
Sonus SFX-2 Enhance 6" White Foam Pad
Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish 6" Orange Foam Pad
Flexipads 75mm Velcro DA Backing Plate
Sonus SFX-2 Enhance 4" White Spot Pad
Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish 4" Orange Spot Pad
Meguiar's Triple Duty Detail Brush (free with polisher kit)
Canvas Dual Action Polisher Tool Bag 460mm
Dodo Juice 'Born Slippy' Clay Lube Concentrate 250ml

The kit included all of the SFX polish and SFX 6" pads, but bought a couple of extras, namely the 75mm backing plate, along with the 4" spot pads, some Dodo Juice born slippy lube (thought I would finally get some decent clay lube).

Cannot wait for it to turn up, 2 weekends time I will be out there detailing!

Nice haul there Mark. TBH, with clay lube I tend to use water with a drop of car shampoo in. Nice and cheap and good lubricity to boot.

Good luck with the polishing mate.

    Cheers Gaz.

I have always used cheap shampoo and water, but thought, oh to hell with it, lets give it a go. So it says online, the 250ml bottle I got will make 2.5 litres of lube, which will last ages. Will give it a go and see how I get on with it.

Good kit that mate, its what i started with and has done some good jobs for me, for astra paint its very good.
probably get rocommendations of better product but i still love last touch as a lube, drying aid and quick detailer.

Nice starter kit buddy. I was sceptical of born slippy but cant live without it now tbh. Ive always used either shampoo / bottled water or meguiars last touch cetailer but born slippy feels beyond safe and makes claying a much more pleasant thing to do.

Just had a brief look, in all honesty for what you spend there, can get what I got from www.i4detailing.co.uk.

Not sure on the polishes etc as I have only ever used AG, got the Sonus stuff under recommendation.
