    open the bonnet.
next to the battery is a rectangular black box with 2 clips on it
use a screwdriver to open the box
you will see loads of fuses and relays
at the bottom of the box will be 2 fuses
    10a and i think 20( cant remember)
it will be the 10a (red) one pull it out and fit a new one

If your washers work then it won't be a fuse. If they don't work then it's 7, 8 or 9 under the bonnet, can't remember which one

Sometimes the boot switches fail on these which i've seen before

This is all asuming it's the newer shape Astra and not the old one

Washers work, and did change fuses . So maybe it's a broken lock... :-( any idea how much these are to be fixed ??

Have you put the key into the lock on the boot and maybe dead locked it on accident? Deadlock it means you basicly lock it twice and it will still be locked when you unlock the car with central locking, I think anyway.
