    peformance exhaust question

    i have just recieved this exhaust from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...item20b488e25d the question is has anyione used this system on here,is it any good or have i wasted my money and as the system uses 2 straight through slilencers do you think it will be a bit loud?

    oh and i paid £148 posted for it,complete with clamps,bolts,springs and gasket

    Seen these on ebay, not heard them , but going by the size of the rear silencer, it should be quite loud, also depends on how packed the silences are.

    never used one but looking at the picture tells me more than enough.
    dirt cheap and looks terrible IMO.
    I would not expect much from it to be honest and it may be chav style raspy

    the rear box is marked toyosports ,have you ever heard of them? online they do have a lot of tuning items available

    Could be well worth putting the exhaust on and keeping the old exhaust as the MOT garage can fail your car with too loud an exhaust.

    Did you ever fit this m8?
    Any good?
    Could do with a proper job to pay for the car??

    the fit was a bit harder than the oe exhaust,i had to use corsa b rubbers on the rear of the rear box to let it down a bit as it was head on the rear panel and bumper,the centre box is a bit to far one way so it does not sit 100% on the rubbers but that may be a bit more fettling required,it wont fall off though,the front rubbers on the front box dont angle down but horizontal to the floor on one of the rubbers,the system is secure in its fitment and does not fowl the body in anyway with the corsa b rubbers,i will be able to tell more when i get the car started

    i started my car for the first time yesterday after doing the head and timing chain,and i was supprised that the exhaust was not very loud
