ok time for a bump (rather than starting a new thread), I've done some screen grabs from bits and bobs from my world, mainly architecture stuff which I have fun playing with, but I went a bit mental with modernist houses and my "Hill houses" (ie find a hill and dig a mahoosive mansion out of it), so decided as a sample for my mate who wants me to build houses etc on his server, to make some smaller, more regular showhomes - typical semi-detatched, terraced houses and a dormer bungalow for him to see so people can pick a house style they like that isn't too over the top (I spent days on Hill House 1 & 2 lol)

Anyhow, pic heavy, you have been warned!

my castle in the rain with sunset behind - the tower goes up through the clouds as high as you can go.

Swimming pool under the castle - the base is lava, covered with glass then filled with water - the sides are obsidian. There is one row of high windows (it's in a cellar) but NO torches or other lighting in the entire room save for 4 glowstone lamps - one in each corner - the lava bottom illuminates it pretty well even without them!

Swimming pool in the sub basement of the Old Vicarage Hotel - obsidian base, glowstone pool walls, and a wall of lava at the end of the room encased in glass. The torches are actually pretty redundant since I did that work, so I might go knock them down.

    church and lava tower

part of the housing development area again from another angle. At the front is the dormer bungalow, behind (left) is the front of the row of terraced houses, behind (centre) is the back of the semi-detatched showhomes. behind them to the left is the church, and to the right is "Bonehunter" house - the first & oldest building on the site - constructed as a place to hide out until dawn then go out and collect skeleton bones after sunrise. Behind Bonehunter is the Old Vicarage Hotel.

    Front of Hill House 1

indoor/outdoor pool feature in Hill House 1 - I found the waterfall in an open-fronted cave, and decided to build the house around it by digging out above and behind.

one of the bedrooms inside Hill House 1 with ensuite bathroom behind the bed.

another bedroom in Hill House 1

Hill House 2 from the front.

Hill House 2 from the back (from the sea)

Hill House 2: the swiming pool, the windows look out to the bay (slightly below ground level here), the bottom of the pool is glowstone and one wall is obsidian. Recessed glowstone lights the ceiling.

another bedroom in Hill House 2

another bedroom in Hill House 2 looking out over the bay.

lounge in the semi-detatched show home.

dining room in the semi-detatched showhome.

1st floor landing in the semi-detatched showhome - I got all the dyes so went mad with carpets, the glass stops you falling down the stairs, the ladder goes to the loft.

bedroom in the semi-detatched showhome, with ensuite bathroom.

loft in the semi-detatched showhome - I make the roof out of stone or wooden stairs.

loft conversion in one of the terraced houses showing lounge, with bedroom behind and bathroom on the left.

single bedroom in the loft of one of the terraced houses.

upstairs landing in the dormer bungalow.

my mod has "atlantis mode" - I wanted to see what it does - apparently it lets you "swim" in the air (not fly - as if you let go of jump you sink to the ground) but at the same time spawns masses of tame wolves who float up into the air around you! Unfortunately when you toggle it off again the poor things thump to the ground with a sad yelp :'( Had to go and find a load of pork chops to feed them to heal their bruises!

the aftermath of "atlantis mode" - 101 wolves! It took a while to get all the buggers to sit, then it was off for remedial pork chops for them all!

There is more but I've tried to just show a sample lol!
