Where did you mount your microphone?

Not really MK specific hence me asking here.

I'm fed up of continuously headbutting or grabbing my mic, which is at the very top of the A-pillar on the drivers side.

I'm not keen on drilling holes in the dash tbh.

Just looking for photos of where you mounted your mic's so i can see what i like & take it from there.

The usual place to fit it is either next to the ceiling light cluster or front edge of ceiling next to screen centrally above rear view mirror, hide cable behind ceiling trim & down A post trim behind any airbag curtains. use velcro hook & loop to save damaging trim. Tetraman

I was thinking about the rear view/interior map reading light thing.

I'd have to run it up the A pillar but then the only way to get it there without it being on show is going behind the roof lining. I've not pulled at it yet, so i don't know how much give there is in this. I'd have imagined it'd be quite tight, so how do you get in there without creasing the roof lining?

Will be looking into it all when i get round to taking the centre console out which should hopefully be sometime this week.

As said, i keep headbutting it, or gripping it when getting in It keeps working loose & protruding, so i need to grip the wire which i've tucked behind the rubber & pull it down so it stays tight.

You can just tuck it in, take less than 2 mins if you already have the wiring up the A pillar.

I do, but it's been wire tied behind the clocks too so there's not much slack.

I'm not best pleased anyway - we had a sort out a few months ago & i found this piece of small plastic in a small plastic bag & i wondered wtf it was. It'd been in the room for a good while ... so i just binned it.

I've just remembered now what it was - it's the mount clip for the mic. Gutted.

Will be ok. The light will hold the microphone in place once its clipped back in.

Oh right i get you - you feed it behind the roof lining & through the interior light from behind it & when you clip the interior light plastic back in place, this holds the mic in place snug enough.

    Are we dancing?
