    Rear wiper slow........

Well, when it works it is very slow, but more often it just doesn't move when I push the lever. Occasionally it will move about 5 inches and stop. It obviously works, so would a liberal dose of WD40 do anything or do I need to replace the motor?

In addition, when I depress the lever to get fluid onto the rear screen, the motor can be heard but nothing comes out. The fluid comes from the front washer bottle, doesn't it? Any ideas?

They seize up, the one on my first Mk3 Astra seized solid. Forget WD40, get some oil down it. Ideally penetrating oil first to sluice the rust out and then 3-in-1 or similar all while giving the arm a helping hand.
