    Z16xep fuel pressure relese valve

can anyone tell me before i start to dismantle bits of the engine if this engine has a pressure relese valve as i intend to swap the fuel filters over.
i think its on the fuel rail at the back of the engine cover but not sure.
any other tips on changing fuel filter on this car(astra mk4 1.6 sxi twinport 04)
    thanks for any info.
ps would it pay me to get a mk5 haynes manual for this engine(if there is one)

sorry is it mk4 or mk5 your car? just you posted two different ones there :P

i changed my 52 plate astra 1.6 16v sxi fuel filter last week, its like infront of the rear wheel on the passenger side next to the fuel tank, you just undo the clips and replace

tip: use some pliers which has the ends bent inwards to undo the clips, really tight!

also watch for the petrol coming out :P doesnt last long tho

    hi m8
    thanks for the reply
its a mk 4 but the z16xep is also in the mk5 hence the haynes manual question.
i know how and where the fuel filter is as i looked in the "how to do" list, but it was just the relieving of the fuel pressure side of it that i was not sure off on this engine.
    how did you do it?
    cheers

i think were at crossed purposes here.
my filter is exactly where yours is,but i wanted to know how to de-pressure the fuel system before i take of the original filter
also was it easy to get fuel going through again after you changed to new filter.
    thanks for your time buddy
