I have a self modifying astra!

car has decided to lower itself on the o/s/f without any new parts being fitted! heard a little clunk from it going over a speedbump the other day and noticed it sitting a tad low when i went out to it today.

perfect time for some lowered suspension methinks

anyone recommend a shock and spring setup to go for? dont want coilovers as i dont want to go that low with it. not overly fussed with cost as the car is a long term project that aint getting sold so not wanting to fit crap to it.

What's the budget? You'll get a Jamex -40mm setup (shocks and springs) via Performance3000 for less than £200 I think, can't fault mine

£800 Well, OK, then anything you want for that! Unless you want to spend silly money, I'd be tempted by say Eibach -30mm springs + some adjustable shocks. That or some Spax springs with adjustable shocks.

was thinking eibach and some koni shocks, my brother had that combo on his cav back in the day and it was a pretty good setup. wasnt sure if there was anything better out now as i havent really kept myself up to date with suspension mods. I had bilstein on one of my old cars and they were awesome but couldnt seem to find much for the astra.

Can't argue with Koni either, I just have a slight penchance for Spax for some reason.

I've also heard good things about Gaz shocks and I assume springs too. Bilstein do loads for the Astra but never looked beyond shocks. I think Eibach also do shocks but I can't recall 100% - they certainly do coilovers.

LMF are cheap for Spax, cheaper than Spax direct

Add in a front strut brace and a rear anti roll bar and job done
