fly-by wire fault code reading help

Hi fellas basically I have done a z18xe(from a 2002 vectra) conversion into a tigra a/corsa b. I need to read the ecu fault codes and i believe normally this would be a pedal test.

What I would like to know is... when doing the pedal test is depressing the pedals earthing the wires going to the pedals?

Thanks autosparks, I've just figured that out today, thought I'd let you all know incase anyone else wants to do it.
I went and removed a brake switch from a vectra b z18xe. The wires are-
    black(live)
    black/yellow(brake light)
black green(not sure but probably brakelight other side as in same place as black/yellow)
black/red(the one I want as it goes back to the ecu)

I'll wire it up tomorrow and see if I can then read the codes

I'm sure both brake light switch circuits go back to the ecu but only the one for the brake lights should be needed otherwise people without cruise control would never be able to do the pedal test

I'll explain better the switch has two circuits one has black/yellow (brake switch) and this is crimped to a black/green wich does not go to the ecu so I assume these go to the brakelights.
There is another out put from the swich which is black/red which does go to the ecu. I believe this is the wire I need to connect to opperate the management codes.
I will let on when I wire it up.
