    Op com help!

Very interested in buying this "op com" after reading about it over google!

I have an astra h 2009 1.9cdti 150 and i was wondering what exactly it is possible to do with this op com, to my car!

Can it read and clear fault codes? Change/correct mileage on the clock etc?

Can you please tell me all the things it can do for my car please, also the best place to buy it and for what price it shall be!

    Thanks in advance!

It wont allow you to clock your car as its stored in the dash AND the ecu.

What other tech2 alternatives could be used for mileage correction then?

My mate has an astra h 07 plate and its fell out Of warrenty and the mileage lcd screen has a load of lines across it. So hes bought a second hand pair off ebay and we want to try program it in ourselfs.

There is no OBD option to reduce the mileage stored in Mk5 clocks.

Only way is to remove the m35080 eeprom and re-write a new one with the mileage edited for the correct mileage.

I have successfully used an OpCom to programme a new key (immobiliser and alarm fob). Also cleared fault codes, viewed real time data etc.

You can buy OpComs on eBay but they are 'China Clones', that is copies of the genuine article (which costs several hundred pounds) that are made by a Hungarian company. The one I have works reasonably well although having taken it apart, the build quality is fairly poor... I have to re-work a few components to get a function to work. The software is relatively simple to install but one must be careful as installing genuine software can damage the cloned devices. The right software is easy to come across but this is not the forum to discuss it.

I understand you can use OpCom to change mileage but I don't think it's something you can do on all models.

On some versions of Op-com it gives an option to change the mileage on the clocks I think but not on the ecu.

If you do change it make sure its the same as the ecu readout (Ecu readout is in KPH so needs you to convert it to MPH) or you can be done for fraud.
