    Question Thicker oil?

My car is getting through oil like no-body's business. So in an attempt to slow it down until I get a new engine, I'm using 15/40 oil as opposed to the recommended 10/40. I've been told it's gonna be okay, so long as I don't give it too much sh*t before it's warm. Is this correct?

Well if ur cars getting through loads of oil then theres possibly a problem somewhere so maybe it's worth having a look into why its drinking the oil

it will take longer to reach the top ; don't let it idle from cold drive straight away and warm it up as quick as possible ,once warm coolant @90c is actually better than 10-40

15W will only help when the engine is cold - once warm, it'll be as thin as a 0W/40
