    Unhappy Car didn't start.

Got into my car earlier after leaving it for 8 hours, didnt start. I hate to pump the accelator a little and put the clutch in to get it starting, then when i was pulling off it was spitting a really light blue/white smoke from the exhaust covering the car behind me (I had a little giggle at this moment). Can anyone think what this might be and why? It calmed down after about 5/10 mins. I do have a K&N Cone Filter installed and wondering if its that.

First off the K&N would have nothing to do with it , When was the last service ?
you could help by giving us a little more info like engine size 8 valve or 16 valve what year is it , I'm guessing it's a petrol engine the smoke it put out sounds like the valve stem seals ,it wouldn't of been funny if you had stalled and the car behind ran into the back of you or would it lol (you have a strange sense of humour)

As said above mate, may be the valve stem oil seals, however, with you saying it was hard to start and blue/white smoke, could potentially be headgasket failure. Did it misfire? Lack in power for a while until it got hot?

I'd possibly say headgasket too without any more info

You should start the car with the clutch in anyhow...and pumping the throttle may flood the engine which would make it even harder to start...smoke could have been all the fuel you pumped in burning off, hard to tell unless it happens again.

    What engine is this for?
