    Servicing the 1.9 CDTI

    i have to service one on monday.

    An i have to take my own tools, so to avoid having to take loas of tools,

    whats the size of the sump bolt? is the air box screwed? torxed? or clipped? and what is the size of the Oil Filter cap?

    Good luck with the fuel filter housing if your replacing the filter.

    They are normally very tight and need 'big' oil filter type grips to remove the lid.

    My old astra had the cap (X18xe1) can be very tight indeed. will get it off tho

    If I remember right you will have quite a bit of trouble doing the oil filter too if you are not doing it on a ramp. I think it is right down the back of the engine
