    gear knob removal

    how the **** do you get the standard metal gear knobs of astra g 2.2 cable select

    it dont want to pull or twist off thats for certain

    not bothered about the one on my car gonna cut that off its the better one in the breakers i dont want to **** cant change whole shaft as mine is cable and the breaker one isnt

    do not do as bucky suggested and pull it off

    it doesnt work

    i pulled mine and ended up pulling the whole gear stick out and have had to stump up £130 for a new one

    slide a screw driver in the gap where the plastic lift up part for reverse goes up and tap/hit up with hammer
    dont hit to hard!!!
    (watch it doesnt hit your windscreen when it pops off,haha)

    works everytime with no damage

    If its any consulation to you Tone,

    I admit i did exatly the same as you, but the car in question was for spares anyway and it didn't matter,

    I'm pretty sure some members on here have done the same thing ,
    If they own up to it
