    rear beam

    would a mk4 astra coupe rear beam fit a mk4 hatch?

    if you mean rear light then no, the coupe one are slightly bigger iirc.

    i mean the rear axle yeh. im wanting to do a 5stud conversion but want to know if the coupe axle would fit the hatch

    its easier to swap over the hubs. just four bolts on the back, the cable and the brake pipe.
    the handbrake cables from any coupe estate 3dr 5door anything will fit.

    Changes are the torsion tube of a 5 stud coupe will be stiffer than the one you've currently got on your 4stud hatch, so whilst you can just swap the hubs etc over as above, you'd be daft not to put a better beam on whilst you have the chance

    If you do swap the beam and have you've got a non-abs car, make sure you swap the brake bias valve gubbings over too.. and set it up correctly

    so the beam should fit? my car has abs on it now anyway. will my rear springs still fit the coupe beam? cheers for the help guys

    Yeah it'll fit... straight swap.

    They are all the same spacing/dimension wise.. but as I said above the stiffness of the torsion tubes do vary across the range
