oil on plug in cyl 4

when i changed my spark plugs, i noticed that there was quite a bit of oil on one of them- the cylinder to the right 4 i think.
does this indicate a worn piston ring?
    or something worse?
the rest were bone dry :/

Could be your rocker cover gasket leaking into it.. When did you change them last?

nah its not likely as it was recently changed. im not going to rule it out just yet though as i know they have a tendency to fail frequently.

it lookes as though its coming up from the bottom of the spark plug, even the tip of the coil was wet with oil.

im a bit worried as im thinking maybe a cracked head?

Was there oil on the top of the plug before you took it out? If so it might of run down the plug as you took it out. Has your car been smoking or burning any oil?

no it was coming from underneath as though the piston was splashing oil up onto the plug.
yeah its been burning oil but i put that down to the turbo seals being worn.
i need to go and investigate further tbh

Before i took mine off the road, all 4 of my spark plugs where covered in oil. Only caused it to missfire.

Had them rocker gaskets just weep a tiny bit on the plugs over time causing similar issue. clean them up and pull the plug out in a week and shine a torch down the plug hole and see if the top of the piston is wet.
