    Modifying the standard mk4 bumper?

    Evening all,

Need to do something with my standard front bumper to make it a little more in-keeping with the rest of the car.

Now, I'm a little broke at the m.... well, always actually. Can't afford a new one so I'm looking for some hints on cheap and subtle mods to make it look more agro.

Seeing as I can't afford to add anything to it, I was thinking more of taking bits away. Having said that; I do have 3/4 can of black spray paint, a prit stick and I've just noticed some bit's of 2x4 outside.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

... I suppose.... if I file down the wood into shavings and mix it up with a bit of prit stick... hey presto!; filler!!

    Which part exactly?

if you haven't got the money then don't bother, smoothing needs to be done properly

Think he means the lines of the bumper chap, could always remove the grill part and fit mesh behind? That's my plan anyways

    yeah smooth out the lines.

Then glue a few planks of wood on top of one another and stick under front bumper then spray in black giving that lowered look!

the lower half below the swage line stands about 8-10 mm proud so it's not the easiest thing just to smooth out
Coupe now being broken for parts

just save up til you get some money and get a replacement bumper - coupe or something similar. or look for an irmscher splitter. modding the bumper with no money will just look bodged
