    Sure i'm down on power?

Had a few problems with my car t'other week.. throttle body and MAF sensor problem of which has been sortied now but ever since my car has felt slightly under powered.. i didn't really take much notice untill last night when i get totally embarrassed by either a Toyota Prius or a Honda Insight

Was a Open S Bend corner onto a duel carrigeway with a set of lights a stones throw away.. i was doing about 10mph onto the duel carrigeway with has the lights had just changed with this other car behind me. As we got straight he decided to try and overtake me (which is fair enough) but me seeing a car infront in his lane wanting to turn right at the next set of lights i sensed he would try and do the dirty on me.. so i put my foot down to see what he would do and what did he do u ask?? exactly the same and p****d all over me. I may aswell have been in a 1.1 corsa or something.. He must of been in his mid 30's atleast and we didnt get above 45mph due to the sets of lights been close together but my god my car felt poor.

First thing i did once i got back home was attempt a pedal test which bought nothing up, car isnt jurking or mis-firing but feels really badly down on power compared to before i did the work to it.. Not happy at all to say the least.

(P.s Time now is 17:55 and im waiting for the B*S to begin)

Did you remove the throttle body? Might be worth making sure the gaskets and pipes are fitted properly and you have no air leaks.

The throttle body was removed yeah, the gasket wasnt replaced as it seems in good condition. All pipes were fitted properly and securily(sp). The only problem i havent checked for yet is air leaks on the throttle body itself but i havent had chance yet as its dark when i get back home from work at the min

Prius is technically more powerful than your 1.8 when using electric and petrol at the same time. Heck of a lot more torque even on just electric (158ftlbs!), and dual-power output is 138bhp.

0-60 is rated at 9.8 seconds, but the torque should give it quite a kick off the mark I'd think.

i looked at reviews on parker.co.uk and they gave the top of the range 0-60 time of about 11secs i think.. even though we didnt/wouldnt of gotten that far on a 50mph duel/

Its probably just me but i always notice saft things after doing work to my car.. tend to be picking up on lose ends but i hate thinking i've done something wrong lol
