Hi guys, is it really worth it doin the conversion? ive found this on ebay and yes its expensive but is this set up worth it? i can get all the parts here individually for like half that price but was just wondering weather its worth the hassle of doin.. any advice would be greatly helpful :-)

Im not sure how effective it actually is but I have one purely for looks, I would imagine with a wide de-restricted airflow, no pipes over the engine causing heat and a free-er flowing k and n panel filter will make a few bhp tho.
Just dont go for a cone as the heat soak willbe mega

yeh tbh i thort the same as the pipes not going over the engine etc got to be getting colder air :-)
Do you know what the viper kits are like with these with a cold air feed?
am just weighing up my options really of what sort of induction is best :-)

And yes dont worry i will not be paying that stupid price for that lol

ive had it for over 1 year on my vxr, now stage 2 with it on, it is alot more smoother drive but doesnt make any power difference what so ever on standard map, the turbo seems to spool up a little faster..

but the main point of having one imo is - it doesnt cause any heatshoke..

were as your crossover gets real hot over the engine causing it to be alot of heatshoke ..

and the cdti is very caplable to take over 400bhp on the vxr.. dont know for the let..

This part reduces inlet air temperature as you have mentioned, to compare it againsts a LEH an LET turbo means nothing

The direct airflow mod is part an parcel of modding both LET an LEH intake routes - cooler air temps is what its all about
