Anyone else with rock hard frozen windscreens today?

My car (and my wife's) was like scraping a layer off the glass even with a brass-blade scraper! It was 'only' -4.5c but the ice on the windscreens was absolutely solid, first time this year I've resorted to idling the car to help out!

To top it off I also forgot to leave the handbrake off last night and, yep, it stuck on, joy

If i did this, id return with no car. Got some right dingles near me! lol.

Iv heard that if you leave a hot water bottle on the dash your window wont ice at all. Beats getting frozen de-icing haha.

I went for a drive up to Garelochead last night, up by Faslane naval base (outside Glasgow). Its about 30 miles away from where i live. At the top of the hill there's a car park and my dash read -4.5. I when out to stretch my legs a bit the chill went right through me. Bloody mental.

Turned the engine off to soak up how quiet it was, and the window washers just froze on the screen lol oops, engine back on then
