    Fuel Filter Direction

    Hello,

I need to change the fuel filter on my 2003 Astra SRi 1.8 16v. I was scrabbling round in the dark last night to try and remove the filter as there is a fuel leak and I suspected the filter, I managed to remove it but in the process I forgot to make note of the direction, I now have a new one but am unsure which way round to fit it, can anyone shed any light? The hose at the end facing the rear of the car splits into 2 shortly after the filter connection, the one connected to the 'front' side is a single hose that appears to travel towards the engine which makes me think that is the one the arrow should point towards. Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

Not meaning to question something obvious, but that is the pipe running to the front? There's a lot of blue pipework in the area and without lifting the car it's hard to see where they all go!

    Thanks,

It'll only go on one pipe that it's meant to go on to. so when you put it between the 2 connections. you point the arrow on the pipe that is going to the engine.

To make it simple look on the filter and there will be an arrow - fit it with that pointing to the front of the car.

Some say OUT on the side that needs to face the front of the car.
