    Fuel filter z20lel

Does anyone know where the fuel filter is on a Mk 5? Heard somewhere that it's in the fuel tank!? Is this true?
    Thanx Paul.

Thanx for the info mate. So what have u got to do if it gets blocked then!? I've never let it go below a quarter of a tank so it shouldn't of pulled much s**t up, but it doesn't mean to say that the previous owner hasn't!.
I'm getting bad mpg at the mo so I was just trying to narrow things down.

Well this is it mate, if you really want to get it changed you will have to buy a complete new swirl pot from GM .
I wanted to change mine but i cant unless i buy a new swirl pot..im really pissed off about it.
so im going to leave it as it is,until i really know that it needs replacing..

Sounds expensive! What a shite design! Wonder what they were thinking when Vauxhall decided to do that? Hmmmm, money money money is my bet! Anyway Thanx for your help mate, looks like I'll be getting out the multi meter on the weekend to test Afm, map sensor and lambda sensors etc before I go down the new swirl pot route! Oh the joys of owning a Vauxhall...
