    Coolant temperature sender?

Evening people, Ive changed the thermostat and coolant temperture sensor on my LET and still my temperature gauge in the car wont settle. When it gets warm it goes up to 85c then falls quite quickly to 75c then back up to 79c.
Its doing my head in. Is there anything else i can check that controls the pin on the gauge?
    Thanks.
    Gary

That sounds like the thermostat opening up, nothing wrong with that.

The gauge on the dash is not that accurate.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

    Gary,
    You should't be over concerned,

Simply means your engine is running cooler than the norm, come summer you'l be glad.

    Thanks for the replys!
The thermostat dont open until 86c ish. Its just a little to dramatic that when 1st warmed up in the morning it reaches operating temperature then dramatically falls down very fast and then back up and it has never has done that within the 4 1/2 years of owning the car! Even when driving between 40-70mph it wont settle.
    Doing my nappa in.
    Thanks anyway
