    Car just cut out

    Hi
I have an astra 1.3 cdti life estate on an 06 reg, I was doing about 80 down the motorway for about 10 miles and exit at my junction as I was approaching the roundabout I was braking and stopped at the roundabout when I noticed all my lights came on my dashboard and the engine had cut out I started the car back up again streight away and it ran as good as always and after driving another 20 miles I never had the problem again, I did a pedal test to see if I recorded a fault but it hasn't I'm confused to why it would just cut out.

I've had this happen to me on my 1.3CDTi Mk5 after leaving motorways in my case it was being lazy with the clutch.

There really isn't any power/drive/torque below 1.5k and its very easy to do it pulling away if you're not paying attention, if there's no codes and everything else is running fine I wouldn't worry about it.

I had this problem with a petrol mk4, there was a bit of juddering before it happened where the car would shake like I was tapping the accelerator repeatedly.

Think it was the lambda sensor as after changing the exhaust system I haven't had it again
