very much doubt it - 45 is quite high so u should be fine

all depends how much stretch u plan on running.

as its a mk5 you could probs stick with 225/40/18

heres what it would look like on a 9.5J

If in doubt, roll the arches for more room and trial fit the rim without a tyre first to see how much room u have.

I would imagine Id have to flare the arches to enable a 10J rear.....mmmh this could prove interesting

9.5j 18's will fit with very slight rubbing on the mk5. 10's on the mark 4 will fit, but your talking arch flaring

These are 10 inches wide at the rear, and 8 inches wide at the front.

no pcd adaptors as the wheels would stick out too far becuase of the width and offset.

Dont forget its a van though so more room

any idea what ET they are at the back mainly?

You know i like to do things differently and seeing as my car is gonna be off the road almost as long as yours, it gives me plenty time to mess about

Think 10x18 is a step too far personally but we'll see!

225/40/18 would probs be best now i think about it, but would probs need to add quite a flare to the rear arches to tuck it under on such a wide rim...... mmmh

sorry dont know the offset, but they are only 16's as well. Its just to give you an idea on space. Obviously the bigger the rim the less tyre wall, the less stretch. Its do able of course, but just plan on flaring the arches

Ozteks coupe is a 9.5J x 18's that will give you a fair indication of size as well

The ET is slightly unimportant. At the end of the day the 10J is going to stick out the arch and give the desired look, so go for the closest ET as possible to standard.

think im gonna pass on this one im afraid.....probs just revert to standard plan of sensible rims kicked out with spacers instead....as much as id love fat rims the ones im considering are just too big and too low ET.....

thanks for all the help tho chaps....but probs a no go.... i think
