    Question confused on timing

    hi all

i have an astra mk4 1.6 16v i have replaced my cylinder head with 1 i have rebuilt, its come to timing and im confused, I know the sprockets have to be 1 at 3 o clock and another at 9 o clock but i was wondering if you could be 180 degrees out on the head if so does anyone know or have a diagram on the positioning of the cams

there should be marks on the sprockets to line up with marks on the plastic casing on the bottom and some marks on the cam cover

    Hi cut it out,

Providing you align the sprockets to their corresponding markers, as required, it is not possible, in my opinion, to misalign them by 180degrees.

    Others may disagree with me.

    Hope this helps.
