    Optimistic Thermostat...

    My car seems to think the current out side temperature is fluctuating between 40 and 55 celsius.

    Edit - Car is a mk4 1.8 coupe.

    Pulled over and had a look at what I believe is the thermo (the part clipped into the front centre of the bumper grille), and it is attached and it isn't hot arount it.

    Any ideas?

    Bit of a pain as the car is up for sale if I can find a buyer before a certain VX220 sells.
