What oil do i need for 1.9 CDTI (150)

Hi, I have a 2008 1.9 CDTI (150) 3dr sport hatch & Im planning a oil change for the weekend but I don't know what oil to use.

Am I right in saying I need 5w40 fully synthetic? If so what are people using thats a decent oil without spending a fortune?

Its the first time i will be changing the oil on this car so any tips or advice i might need would be great.

    Thanks. Mark

Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 Gasoline and Diesel engine oil 100% Synthetic -5 Litres

from good old Opie Oils. Cost about £30 delivered
