z16xep no cooling system pressure, HELP

i have an 04 plate astra 1.6 twinport, it keeps losing water but its taking a few days to lose a notable amount. There is no pressure building up even when the engine has been running for a while, no obvious signs of a leak i have had a good look also more recently it has just started over heating slightly when sat idling with no heaters blowing. any ideas anybody??. cheers.

I'd be curious on the waterpump being faulty? If the leak is small, it'll only really lose water when running at full temperature so you'd not notice a leak easily. When my rad had a pinhole leak it was almost impossible to tell where the leak was.

Have you checked the coolant for oil and the oil for coolant just in case it's a HG problem?

Once the radweld has been in a little while I'd drain/flush the coolant system, not ever convinced on the rumours that it tends to block up modern cooling systems and break waterpumps...but I'd imagine nothing is ever '100%' going to happen

well radweld has seemed to work, there is definitely pressure in the system but now it is overheating when parked up.. really confused now. there is a noise that i have just noticed, sounds like a belt slipping. havnt really had any problems like this in the past the engine has been fine, ran silently could not tell it was ticking over if it wasnt for the exhaust!
