    Orange engine light

    According to the owners manual, its called the Engine Electronics Control Indicator.

    To me it is an orange light on the dash, under the rev counter in the shape of an engine outline.

    It comes on immediately after starting and goes off after 10 mins of normal driving. Neither power or overall performance is affected while the light is on.

    Is it serious?

    I think thats a fly by wire engine so give the pedal test a try to read any stored codes yourself

    Didn't even know the pedal test existed. But after reading various posts on the subject I can now confirm the following fault code stored;

    0380

    Something to do with glowplugs?

    Will replacing them clear the fault code?

    It could just be the fuse or control unit for the glow plugs so at least check the fuse first

    Might be a idea to disconect the battery for a hour or so to clear the code, make sure you have the radio code first though
