    New Radio Required

I have a 2003 1.6 16v elegance. Nothing flash but low mileage, FSH, a great find and buy if I may say so myself. I need a new mp3 compatible stereo, i.e plays mp3 Data discs and also aux in etc for iPod - the usual modern unit. I would like to still use the steering wheel controls. What are my options, recommendations. Don't want to spend too much. Cheers. Pete.

    Welcome Pete

There's lots of options out there you just have to decide how much you want to spend. Factor in about £30 for the adaptor lead to keep the steering wheel controls

    Hi and welcome.

I've just removed a Kenwood KDC M6021 from my 2002 Astra G SXi.
It's about 6 years old but is in fantastic condition, fully boxed with all bits and pieces plus instructions and the appropriate auto-connects lead - which retains all steering wheel controls/functions and still show all radio and track data on the VX screen. PLUS I've have a spare removable fasic unit that I can give you too - I bought another one as I thought I'd lost the original - DOH!!!

It sound great and plays mp3 data cds.
Alas, though, it has no direct ipod/mp3 connection but you can get Kenwood adapters (KCA-iP500) that do the job. These have been going on ebay recently for anything from £18 to £34.
There's one here(only on £8 with 10 hours to go):
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kenwood-Kca-Ip...item3a62087795

I was going to put it all on here and on ebay once I sorted the pictures out, but for now heres the official Kenwood manual to look through:
    http://manuals.kenwood.novenaweb.inf...20%28EN%29.pdf

and an image from the web of it:

... I'll add pictures of the actual unit (and in car shots) tonight.

All yours for £80 + any postage if needed.

If your local (Manchester/Wigan) I'll even fit it for you.

... indicators do not give you right of way!!!
