    Your thoughts on this ???

I have a faulty Nintendo wii basically it will only play certain games and others it just wont read, even brand new games so i was thinking of selling it on ebay and then putting the cash towards a brand new one.

while looking at ebay to see what sort of money i could get towards a new one i came across this

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Exchange-your-...item20b5e31d38

do you think its worth doing or should i just stick to my original plan ???

Looks legit if you ask me, good deal aswell, you wont get much for a faulty wii especially if you dont know whats wrong with it.

Wii has a 24 month warranty - is it older than this? If not, send it back for repair.

For reference, all electrical goods sold in the EU do, so far as I am aware, have a 2yr warranty - makes the 'electrical store' extended warranty deals a bit pointless really.

as far as i know its over 2 years old....i got it secondhand from a (so called) friend of a friend ,also it has been chipped so i think that voids any warranty anyway

You sure the lens isn't a bit dirty? Might be worth paying pennies for a lens cleaner instead of buying a new unit

Not quite true, they just have to last a reasonal time. It's upto you to prove what reasonal time is. i.e a home microwave being using in a cafe wouldn't last as long as it would in a house.

It's a grey area that you need to look into before quoting it, cause you'll fall flat on your face in most shops

Looks good, but my concern would be that obviously he is repairing these as they are sent to him and then sending them back to new customers etc as and when he gets business.

Does he offer any guarantee or anything on the product? Could send one out which works for all of a week, but by that point you have already left positive feedback as it all seems to be working ok etc, then where do you stand?
