could have got a set of coilovers for that price!
ebay : coilovers £165 delivered, top mounts £16 pair delivered, wiper blades £8 delivered.
all you need to fit all that would have been a half inch ratchet, 18mm socket, 17mm socket and 18mm spanner.

the labour might be the thing to look at, the top mounts have to come off the replace coil springs so shouldnt be an extra labour charge for that.

Not a bad price for what the parts were, assuming they were OEM, not heard of many front springs snapping though, did you get the old ones to see?

They had to remove the top mounts to get the springs swapped though, so labour for that may or may not be a little on the expensive side.

My car failed the MOT and the garage wanted to charge £119.10 to fix it which included the light alinement, and retest, o/s top mount needed replacing, and light bulbs were blown.

I did the blubs and lights etc and I bought the top mount for £15 and got the guy I use to fix things to do the work. between parts and labour it cost me £55 + £15 retest and £11.95 light alinement.
Be an optimist - at least until they start moving animals in pairs to Cape Canaveral.
