I've only had the car a few weeks and just filled up at ASDA, this is only the second time I've filled up and after parking up 5 minutes later noticed a trail of petrol coming from under the car. I put my hand underneath the area when the tank filler pipe goes and petrol was p*ssing out.
My first reaction was to get home quick and get underneath to look for a leak, when I was was on the drive there was a tiny few drips leading onto the drive and the leak had stopped.
I have a habit of filling a car right up to the brim (though it has never caused me any problems in the last 25 years) could the overflow be leaking or possibly a split in the filler pipe? I'm assuming the 2 mile drive home at warp 9 would have used any excess fuel in the filler pipe.
Thanks in advance.
