    wheres my boost going? ideas?

My gsi regal stage 2 is overboosting to about 15psi & as the revs go up the boost slowly drops down to about 8psi, wheres it goin? Vacuum hoses at rear of engine are not leaking, & ive now bypassed the rear bcs & vac box to eliminate them. Anyone help?

Main Intercooler hoses leaking under sustained presure? Only way to test this really is to make a bung with a tyre valve in it, get a air compressor with the tyre inflator on the end of the air line, put the bung on the intake of the turbo and pressurise up to about 20psi and listen for the air leaking out. This solved my leak a treat I just needed to tighten up a clip half a turn.

Thanks for reply. Can the front bcs or actuator cause these problems? Anyone?

Possibly, you should have roughly 3 to 4 threads showing from the last nut to the bottom of the rod on the actuator. Not sure how to test the bcs tho other than swapping it from a mates astra turbo of by buying a new 1. Think I paid about £20 from Vauxhall.
Also if your actuator spring is weak it may be bleeding off pressure to early?
I'm sure some1 maybe able to confirm this.

i was loosing boost like urself mate and i went out and bought a collins actuator, one of the best things i did to it! defo reccomend that if u suspect ur actuator is crappy, but as said above, check for leaks in the pipework first.

Shouldn't do, if you look at the engine bay pics from the sticky at the top of the turbo section page alot of people seem to use silicone hose for the bcs.
