    Alloys

    Hi folks

    New poster here.

I have a question and it appears I have found the best place to ask it.

Anyway, I have an Astra sxi with 16inch standard alloys and I want to change them for sri 17inch standard alloys.

Would this be a straight swap or would I need some form of alteration?

As you can now tell I have basic knowledge with regards to motors!

Pretty sure they are a straight swap. Sure someone will correct me if im wrong but im almost certain they are.

    Both alloys are 5 stud?
    For free hugs PM me.

Yes they are both 5 stud mate.

There does seem enough room in the wheel arches to accommodate an extra inch of wheel.

I'm guessing your car is the same MK as the car the alloys came off? Therefore there wont be any problems getting them in the arches. I'm guessing the alloys in question are off a MK5 as i dont recall MK4 SRI's having 17's?

    They do fit.

Can't remember the offsets that you need off the top of my head though. I have them on mine with an offset of et38 with no problems loweered 40mm

So long as you have 5-stud then it's a straight swap
